Thursday 14 July, 6.15pm
This circular walk will visit Hangmans Wood, a site of Special Scientific Interest because of the presence of a number of deneholes: underground hollows that are now home to colonies of bats. We’ll also walk through rural countryside, skirting Chadwell St Mary and seeing the remains of the mill at Orsett and the existing windmill at Baker Street. Download our map here Walk 17.
Accessibility
These walks are of different lengths and on different terrain. Some are mainly on footpaths, and others mainly on footpaths where ground may be uneven. Download our map here Walk 17 and use the colour coding so that you can decide if a route will be suitable for you.
