Friday 15 July, 7pm
A leisurely walk around the lovely village of Horndon-on-the-Hill. We’ll start out at the medieval half-timbered Woolmarket, before passing the remains of the Windmill, the historic church and pass a house once occupied by both Phil Vincent, founder of Vincent motorcycles, and 1950s keep-fit Queen Eileen Fowler. We continue to Saffron Gardens, where Elizabeth I once stayed, before ending at the Bell Inn. Download our map here Walk 18.
These walks are of different lengths and on different terrain. Some are mainly on footpaths, and others mainly on footpaths where ground may be uneven. Download our map here Walk 18 and use the colour coding so that you can decide if a route will be suitable for you.
