Mandala Activity Pack

Mandalas in Hinduism and Buddhism are artworks of various designs symbolizing the universe.  Their repetitive and ordered patterns can create a sense of calm and structure and are often used for mindfulness exercises.

In 2020 we used a mandala theme to bring communities together; to reflect on issues they faced, and created beautiful pieces of art from locally sourced materials.

The mandala activity pack was created as a tool to help with the design process.  It encouraged thought about sources of inspiration, such as values or materials.

As a call to action in response to local challenges,  it provided a a springboard for reflections and promises to act – providing a fun way for individuals and groups to work together in  community building activity.

The spectacular results of everyone’s mandalas, including our own, can be seen in our Mandala Galleries, links below.
